Job summary

LaborEdge, LLC seeks an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to deliver specialized perioperative care before, during, and after surgery, ensuring patient safety, efficacy of procedures, and strict infection control.

You will scrub in for procedures, assist the surgical team with instruments, prep patients, maintain a sterile environment, monitor for hazards, and provide pre- and post-operative education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Assess and monitor surgical patients’ physiological and psychosocial status and implement nursing care plans.
• Scrub in for procedures, prepare and pass instruments, and assist the surgical team as directed.
• Clean and disinfect surgical sites, prepare patients for surgery, and ensure all pre-op requirements are met.
• Adhere to infection control protocols, including sterile technique and safety standards.
• Accurately record patient history, surgical details, and postoperative plans in compliance with regulations.

An Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) at our facility provides specialized perioperative care before, during, and after surgery, ensuring patient safety, procedural efficiency, and compliance with infection control and quality standards..

Core Responsibilities

• • Perioperative Patient Care: Assess and monitor surgical patients’ physiological and psychosocial status; implement nursing care plans in line with the medical and nursing treatment plan

  • Surgical Assistance: Scrub in for procedures, prepare and pass instruments, and assist the surgical team as directed

  • Patient Preparation: Clean and disinfect surgical sites, prepare patients for surgery, and ensure all pre-op requirements are met.

  • Infection Prevention: Adhere to strict infection control protocols, including sterile technique, latex precautions, and malignant hyperthermia prevention.

  • Environmental Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized OR environment; monitor for hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare providers

  • Education & Support: Provide pre- and post-operative education to patients and families, including wound care, activity restrictions, and recover y expectations

  • Documentation: Accurately record patient history, surgical details, and postoperative plans in compliance with regulatory requirements
