Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to perform comprehensive perioperative care for a designated patient group in a collaborative team.

You will coordinate with surgeons and the health team, administer medications, assess patient status, document care, and contribute to safe discharge planning while maintaining compliance with NY State licensure and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current New York State RN license.
• Minimum 2 years Operating Room RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and coordinates perioperative nursing care.
• Administers medications and monitors patient response.
• Collaborates with surgeons and health team members.
• Provides patient and family education throughout perioperative process.
• Documents care and assists with discharge planning.
