Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse in New York to deliver age-specific plans of care using the nursing process. You will collaborate with physicians and the health team to coordinate procedures, assess patient needs, and implement and evaluate care with clinical judgment and leadership on the unit.

The position requires a NYS RN license, ability to reassess and delegate appropriately, and adherence to policy while ensuring patient safety and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• BSN degree preferred; must obtain BSN within five years of employment if enrolled in a program.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient’s physiologic health status.
• Assesses patient’s psychosocial health status.
• Identifies patient outcomes and develops measurable goals.
• Formulates and implements the plan of care, coordinating with the health team.
