Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the OR in a pediatric acute care setting in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN role focuses on pediatric OR care, with collaboration between the surgical team and postoperative care.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of OR/Peds RN experience, Ohio license, BSN in progress, and BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred. PRN with flexible scheduling and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN License required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• ACLS certification required; BLS required; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for pediatric patients in the OR and perform assessments during surgery.
• Assist physician with plan of care and ensure continuity between units.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must have American Heart Associtation Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery. Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
