Wise Medical Staffing seeks an experienced OR RN for pediatric patients in a hospital setting in Dayton, Ohio. The role is PRN with self-scheduling and requires strong assessment skills in the operating room.

The candidate should have 2+ years of OR nursing experience for pediatrics, Ohio RN license, and a BSN (or progress toward). BLS/ACLS are required; PALS and CNOR are preferred.

• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred; CNOR preferred

Contract Details

• Location: Dayton, Ohio
• Setting: Pediatric Acute Care Hospital
• Employment Type: Self-Scheduling (PRN)
• Primary Units: OR (Peds)
• Pay Rate: $48-$52 per hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: PRN with flexible scheduling
• Shift Availability: Varies
• Start Date: As soon as credentialing is completed
• Employment Status: W2 Employee

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must have American Heart Associtation Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery. Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
