Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for OR for a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity allows nurses to apply for their passion in nursing and being in the OR. Candidates with OR experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

The role requires Ohio RN license, BSN (or in progress), and active BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred. Prior pediatric OR experience is highly valued, with CNOR preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN License required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• CNOR highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room.
• Performs assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery.
• Assists physician in implementing the plan of care and ensures continuity between units and OR.

Contract Details

• Employment Type: Self-Scheduling (PRN)
• Primary Units: OR (Peds)
• Pay Rate: $48-$52 per hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: PRN with flexible scheduling
• Shift Availability: Varies
• Start Date: As soon as credentialing is completed
• Employment Status: W2 Employee

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must have American Heart Associtation Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery. Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
