Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced OR RN for a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, OH. This PRN, self-scheduling role requires pediatric OR expertise and strong patient assessment skills. A valid Ohio RN license, BSN, and current BLS/ACLS are required; PALS and CNOR are preferred.

The RN will provide perioperative nursing care, support the surgical team, and ensure safe patient care from admission to post-op transfer, with a flexible schedule and W2 employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years RN OR (Peds) experience.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Active Ohio RN license required.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS required.
• PALS preferred; CNOR highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for pediatric patients in the OR.
• Perform assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery.
• Assist physicians and ensure continuity between units and the OR.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must have American Heart Associtation Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery. Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
