Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR in a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity requires strong assessment and critical thinking skills and experience in pediatric OR settings.

BSN degree required or in progress with an Ohio RN license, BLS, ACLS required, PALS preferred, and CNOR highly preferred. Flexible scheduling and W2 employment offered with competitive pay.

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• BLS certification required

• Pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room
• Perform assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery
• Assist physician and ensure care plan continuity between units

• Pay Rate: $48-$52 per hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: PRN with flexible scheduling

• Start Date: As soon as credentialing is completed

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must have American Heart Associtation Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery. Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
