Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced OR RN (Peds) for a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN/W2 position offers flexible scheduling, weekly direct deposit pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements include 2+ years in OR (Peds), Ohio RN license, BSN in progress or completed, strong patient assessment, and BLS/ACLS certifications. CNOR preferred; PALS a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN License required.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
• ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room, performing assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery and supports the plan of care.
• Ensures continuity of care between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.

Contract Details

• Location: Dayton, Ohio
• Setting: Pediatric Acute Care Hospital
• Employment Type: Self-Scheduling (PRN)
• Primary Units: OR (Peds)
• Pay Rate: $48-$52 per hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: PRN with flexible scheduling
• Shift Availability: Varies
• Start Date: As soon as credentialing is completed
• Employment Status: W2 Employee

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must have American Heart Associtation Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery. Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
