Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing seeks an experienced OR RN (Peds) for a pediatric acute care setting in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN role requires strong patient assessment and critical thinking, with OR experience strongly encouraged.

The RN will perform perioperative care in the OR, coordinating with the surgical team and ensuring patient safety. Ohio RN license, BLS, and ACLS are required, with CNOR preferred and BSN preferred or in progress.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Active Ohio RN license required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room, performing assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery.
• Assist the physician in executing the plan of care and ensure continuity between the patient care unit and the OR.

• Pay Rate: $48-$52 per hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: PRN with flexible scheduling

• Start Date: As soon as credentialing is completed

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must have American Heart Associtation Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery. Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
