Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced RN for OR (Peds) at a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity offers flexible scheduling and W2 employment status.

Required OR experience in pediatrics, Ohio RN license, and BSN degree (or in progress). BLS and ACLS certifications are required; CNOR and PALS are preferred. Start date is as soon as credentialing is completed.

Qualifications

• RN license in Ohio is required.
• Minimum 2 years of OR (Peds) experience.
• BSN degree or in progress with BLS/ACLS certifications.
• CNOR preferred; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the OR and perform pre- and post-operative assessments.
• Assist physicians and ensure continuity of care between patient care units and the OR.

• Pay Rate: $48-$52 per hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: PRN with flexible scheduling

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must have American Heart Associtation Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery. Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
