Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for OR for a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity allows nurses to apply for their passion in nursing and being in the OR. Candidates with OR experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

The OR RN role requires at least 2 years of pediatric OR experience, an Ohio RN license, and a BSN in progress or completed, plus BLS and ACLS; PALS preferred. W2 benefits apply and scheduling is flexible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN License required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Pass background screening and onboarding requirements.
• CNOR highly preferred.
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
