Job summary

UC San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking an experienced OR RN to provide safe, therapeutic care within a multidisciplinary team. You will perform established nursing procedures, assist with complex patient care, and support management of nursing tasks across UCSF Health locations.

The role requires CA RN licensure, AHA CPR, and proficiency in open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery, with strong communication and organizational skills to multitask under pressure.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years recent Adult Operating Room (OR) RN clinical experience.
• Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California.
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification.
• Proficiency in open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
• Proficiency in scrubbing surgical procedures.
• Proficiency in circulating duties.
• Experience in General Surgery, Ortho, Neuro, OHNS, GU, GYN, Breast/Plastics, Endoscopy.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations.
• Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently and under pressure.
• Basic computer skills and general PC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision.
• Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
