Job summary

Qualifications

• 2-3 years recent Adult Operating Room (OR) RN clinical experience.
• Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California.
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification.
• Proficiency in open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
• Proficiency in scrubbing surgical procedures.
• Proficiency in circulating duties.
• Experience in General Surgery, Ortho, Neuro, OHNS, GU, GYN, Breast/Plastics, Endoscopy.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations.
• Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be well organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work independently and under pressure.
• Basic computer skills and general PC knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and related duties.
• Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
• Maintains knowledge and abilities essential to performance of stated behaviors and adheres to Nurse Practice Act.
