Job summary

Carson Tahoe Health in Carson City, NV is seeking a Registered Nurse for Surgical Services in the Operating Room. You will deliver safe, patient-family centered care and participate in the nursing process from assessment to evaluation.

You will share in care planning, maintain documentation, and adhere to standards while supporting department call coverage. Preferred OR experience and CNOR certification are a plus; BLS and ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Current and unencumbered RN license in NV
• AHA BLS certification for healthcare providers
• AHA ACLS certification within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and patient-family centered care in the OR setting
• Develop and participate in the nursing care plan for each patient
• Perform assessments, document plans, and communicate changes to the health team
• Share in department call coverage and maintain essential nursing documentation
• Assist and/or supervise student nurses and allied health staff as needed
• Contribute to evidence-based practice and unit performance improvements
