Job summary

Universal Health Services in Reno, NV seeks an OR RN to provide direct patient care from infant to geriatric populations in a fast-paced surgical environment. You will communicate continuously with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, assist with equipment maintenance, and participate in performance improvement activities.

The role requires current NV RN licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications, and prior outpatient OR or acute care OR experience is preferred. A full-time day shift is offered.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Nevada.
• Previous outpatient OR setting experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides communication between team members in the surgical field and person outside the OR
• Informs charge nurse of case progress and reports any unusual circumstances
• Obtains needed supplies and equipment for each specific procedure
• Verifies suctions, lights, and other needed equipment for proper functioning
