Job summary

Adventist Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse in Med Surg Oncology for White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD. This full-time night shift role offers mentorship to Level I nurses and a focus on compassionate, evidence-based patient care.

You will educate families, develop care plans, and uphold ANA standards while using clinical skills and technology. Active Maryland RN license, BLS, and specialty-area ACLS/PALS/NRP as required are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required.
• Maryland RN license with active BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP as required by specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families through the continuum of care.
• Serve as role models to Level I nurses.
• Demonstrate ANA-aligned professional standards of practice.
• Delegate non-nursing duties appropriately and use equipment safely.
• Develop a care plan according to patient population.
• Identify changes in patient condition and initiate corrective action.
• Mentor students and team members in patient-centered care.
• Conduct purposeful rounds with patients and families.
• Apply evidence to practice and participate in practice changes.
