Job summary

Boston Medical Center - Brighton is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide perioperative care in a patient-centered model within a supportive nursing organization. The role requires 2 years of RN experience with OR exposure; MA licensure and BLS are mandatory, CNOR/ACLS preferred.

Schedule: 40 hours weekly, 4-10 hour shifts with call responsibilities. You will work in a team-focused environment with opportunities for training, development, and career growth, including

Qualifications

• Nursing degree required; diploma, ASN or BSN preferred with ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
• Massachusetts RN license required; BLS certification mandatory.
• CNOR and ACLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the Perioperative Services unit across patient care continuum.
• Communicate with the health care team, patients and families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities with inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records and interpret computerized data.
• Follow BMC-Brighton nursing policies and participate in quality initiatives.
• Support leadership in quality improvement projects.
