Job summary

MelroseWakefield Hospital is seeking an experienced RN for the Operating Room to provide direct nursing care within a high‑volume surgical department. The role involves patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care in alignment with physician orders, with a focus on safety and quality.

The position offers 40 hours per week (7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.) with minimal call and a sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts RN Licensure.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Department-specific certifications may be required.
• Experience level depends on level I–IV.
• A minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience.
• Prior circulating and scrubbing experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care needs of a designated group of patients per physician orders.
• Provide professional nursing care to patients and supervise team members as needed.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
• Develop and document individualized plans of care and discharge planning.
