Job summary

North Carolina Specialty Hospital is seeking an experienced OR RN to provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for patients across the age continuum. The role emphasizes teamwork with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and staff to ensure safe, efficient care and adherence to perioperative standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in NC or compact multi-state license.
• BLS from AHA or ARC required on hire; ACLS & PALS preferred and must be obtained within 6 months.
• CNOR certification strongly preferred.
• Familiar with perioperative instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to the surgical patient and coordinate a safe plan of care.
• Apply age-specific standards for care, including analgesia, sedation or anesthesia considerations.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record and participate in performance improvement activities.
