Job summary

MaineHealth in Farmington, ME is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Surgical Care Operating Room team as a full-time RN with a 32-hour day shift at Franklin Hospital. You will work with surgeons, anesthesia, techs, and nurses to prepare patients, coordinate OR care, and maintain a safe environment throughout surgery.

The role focuses on developing perioperative nursing skills, using clinical judgment, communication, and attention to detail to deliver excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current applicable state RN license and BLS certification.
• One year of recent RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures.
• Coordinate care in the operating room with the team.
• Maintain a safe surgical environment and advocate for patients.
• Support infection prevention and patient safety practices.
