NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is hiring a Registered Nurse - Operating Room for full-time day shifts in NSG-Operating Room. The RN will provide professional surgical nursing care, assess needs, implement care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires OR experience, NYS RN licensure, and standard certifications (BLS/ACLS; PALS/TNCC as applicable).

Qualifikationen

• Two-year nursing program completed at an accredited school.
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; TCAR preferred for certain units.
• PALS and TNCC required or completed within specified timeframes depending on role.
• For Operating Room: minimum two years of OR experience for external hires; relevant OR experience preferred for others.

Aufgaben

• Collect patient health data with patient/family involvement.
• Perform initial patient assessment and document findings.
• Develop and implement the plan of care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Coordinate discharge planning and education for patient/family.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plan as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care plans and patient responses.
• Ensure patient safety and provide culturally competent care.
