VCU Health System Authority in Virginia is seeking an experienced RN to join our Perioperative Services. This role involves direct patient care, coordination with the health care team, and accurate documentation of age-appropriate care following medical orders and multidisciplinary plans.

Positions require Virginia RN licensure (or eligible/compact), and opportunities for clinical ladder advancement and education are emphasized.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
• Clin II requires 12–24 months RN experience; Clin III requires 3 years of clinical experience.
• All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an approved RN to BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date unless grandfathered under previous requirements.
• Clin I, Clin II, Clin III: Completion of a Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Clin III: Certification in specialty area (preferred).
• Clin I: Experience as an LPN, nursing assistant, or care partner in an acute care setting may be preferred.

Responsabilités

• Delivers and accurately documents direct, age-specific care to patients based on medical orders and a multidisciplinary plan of care.
• Safely administers prescribed medications, identifying incompatibilities and interactions.
• Provides direction, education, and leadership at the unit level and acts as a role model in clinical settings.
• Assists health care team with prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort.
• Organizes work and delegates tasks to team members when applicable.

RN to BSN enrollment within two years
