Job summary

Tufts Medicine in Melrose, MA seeks an experienced OR RN to provide professional nursing care in a busy operating room environment. You will participate in the intraoperative care of patients, support surgical teams, and ensure adherence to policies and patient care plans.

The role requires Massachusetts RN licensure and current BLS, with at least 1 year of OR experience preferred. We offer a competitive salary and benefits with a clear pathway for career growth within our surgical services

Qualifications

Massachusetts RN licensure required.
Current BLS certification required.
Department-specific certifications may be required.
Experience level varies by OR pathway (I-IV).
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience; circulating and scrubbing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Participates in performance improvement initiatives.
Integrates evidence-based practice into clinical care.
Conducts and documents accurate clinical assessments.
Develops, implements, and evaluates the patient’s plan of care.
Uses nursing judgment to tailor the plan of care to patient needs.
Manages patient assignment and delegates tasks as appropriate.
Develops discharge plans and coordinates referrals including community resources.
Supports development and precepting of new staff and participates in committees.
