Job summary

HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room to provide safe, patient-centered perioperative care. You will participate in surgical readiness, patient education, and adherence to universal protocols, while collaborating with surgeons, techs, and the care team.

This role requires ARDS? no; but it requires active Florida RN licensure, ACLS/BLS within stated timelines, and 1–2 years of OR experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required within specified timelines.
• Active Registered Nurse license in Florida.
• 1–2 years of operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education for perioperative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
• Apply nursing process with clinical judgment and leadership.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
