Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct care within an interdisciplinary team, adhering to up-to-date evidence-based practices and hospital policies.

The role requires a BSN in progress or equivalent, a NJ RN license, and BLS certification with at least six months of nursing experience or Nurse Residency participation. The position involves data collection, care planning, and effective patient/family communication.

Qualifications

• BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Six (6) months of relevant nursing experience OR active Nurse Residency Program participant.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, strong teamwork and patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care according to evidence-based policies and standards to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation and perform age- and disease-specific assessments.
• Develop and coordinate care plans, communicate with the team, and document all care and outcomes.
• Discharge planning to ensure safe transitions and continuum of care; collaborate with physicians and support services.
