Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our care team. You will provide direct patient care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and help coordinate the plan of care to achieve optimal outcomes.

You will perform assessments, plan and implement care, educate patients and families, document thoroughly, and participate in ongoing learning to meet accreditation standards. This role requires compassion, critical thinking, and the ability to adapt to changing patient

Qualifications

• Requires Associate degree in Nursing or diploma.
• BSN in progress or within 3 years of hire.
• Current RN license valid at assigned location by date of hire.
• BLS/CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Six months of relevant nursing experience or active Nurse Residency Program participation.
• Strong teamwork, accountability, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health.
• Perform age- and disease-specific assessments and data collection.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with the health care team.
• Provide patient/family education and counseling as needed.
• Document care and events per established protocols.
• Deliver safe medication administration with appropriate verifications.
