Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and lead unit operations. The role requires an associate degree in nursing, Maryland RN licensure, and CPR certification. A BSN is preferred, with a BSN required within 3 years of start date.

Applicable ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications will be needed on hire. Responsibilities include using the nursing process to plan and deliver care, administering medications and IV therapies, coordinating patient activities,

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required within 3 years of start date.
• Current RN license in Maryland and Healthcare Provider CPR.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications as required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments; delegate to staff as appropriate.
• Coordinate patient activities and communication with care team.
• Provide patient and family teaching and discharge planning.
• Lead unit-based governance and participate in leadership development.
