Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred. Bachelor's degree required within 3 years of start date.
• Maryland RN license and CPR required; ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable for specialty areas.
• Three years of clinical experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications required upon hire for specialty units; certification within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Assess and formulate nursing diagnoses using the Nursing Process.
• Plan, implement and update written nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and IV therapy accurately.
• Delegate and coordinate duties of nursing staff and ancillary personnel.
• Communicate patient status and plans to physicians and team members.
• Coordinate patient activities across disciplines and discharge planning.
• Lead teaching and quality improvement initiatives on the unit.
