Job summary

GBMC HealthCare seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision in a hospital unit in Baltimore, MD. The role includes care planning, documention, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Minimum requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing, MD RN licensure, and CPR; a BSN is preferred and a Bachelor's degree must be obtained within 3 years. ACLS/PALS/NRP are expected upon hire and ongoing education is supported.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; BSN preferred.
• Registered Nurse licensure in Maryland; CPR biennial.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP required upon hire; certification within 12 months of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose using the nursing process.
• Develop and update a written nursing plan of care.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses and other health team members.
• Document patient status and plan of care in the medical record.
• Delegate and supervise staff; coach and mentor as needed.
• Lead unit safety, quality improvement and patient experience initiatives.
