The OR RN provides patient care in high-acuity settings requiring advanced skills to stabilize and support complex conditions. With more than 10 hospitals across Florida, Orlando Health matches you to a location and team that aligns with your experience and goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current Florida RN licensure or NLC.
• Maintains BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; within 30 days of hire where required.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC may be required for certain OR areas.
• Minimum 1 year Operating Room experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge and judgment for patients needing complex assessments and interventions.
• Monitors specialized equipment and interprets data from monitors and ventilators.
• Responds to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocols.
• Coordinates care and delegates to team members for a defined patient group.
• Documents care consistently meeting regulatory standards and safety requirements.
• Maintains unit skills, participates in committees and contributes to practice improvement.
• Engages in professional development and supports leadership in nursing practice.
