Job summary

Firelands Health is seeking an OR Registered Nurse for a full-time, on-site role in Sandusky, OH. The RN will manage perioperative care from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with on-call duties requiring a 30-minute response time.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care.
• ACLS and Basic EKG certifications required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
• Board certification preferred within 2 years in area of expertise.
• Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

• Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
• Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed
• Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
• Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment
• Demonstrate service excellence and ACE – Attitude, Commitment, Enthusiasm. Act as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
