Job summary

MountainView Regional Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care across the nursing process. You will coordinate care, collaborate with physicians and the care team, and ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role requires 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care, with RN licensure and BCLS required. ACLS/PALS preferred; sign-on bonus offered for eligible full-time candidates.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with policies and the nursing process.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments and documents findings, reporting changes to the care team.
• Assists with administering medications and monitoring for side effects.
• Collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in CPR/code team activities as appropriate.
• Provides patient and family education on conditions, treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Maintains infection control practices and operates medical equipment as needed.
• Documents care thoroughly and promptly in the medical record.
• Participates in performance improvement initiatives and audits.
