Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) at vTech Solution is responsible for assessing patients' mental, physical, and spiritual needs, planning and implementing individualized care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team, and providing skilled nursing care in a surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience.
• Ability to assess and plan patient care effectively.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
• Experience or certification in Operating Room nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide explanations and instructions to patients and responsible persons.
• Use clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development.
• Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by managing conflict using professional communication skills.
• Perform nursing duties specific to the Operating Room setting.
• Respond to on-call requirements as needed.
