Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Patient Care Tech in the Operating Room to assist the nursing staff by transporting patients, equipment and materials to and from the OR. You will prepare positioning equipment and help with skin prep and patient comfort during procedures.

Basic Life Support is required. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, and up to 6 months of clinical experience in surgical services is preferred to support a fast-paced OR team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• BLS Certification is required.
• 6 months clinical experience in surgical services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, equipment and materials to and from the Operating Room.
• Assist nursing staff with patient care and positioning.
• Perform skin shaves and preps and prepare positioning equipment.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during surgical procedures.
