You will guide staff in patient care and family education, share accountability for nursing practice standards within the unit, participate in staffing and scheduling, and develop a shared vision for the department while remaining composed under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with planning, administering, and evaluating the operations of the Operating Room
• Role model and sustain patient and family-centered care
• Guide staff in patient care and family education
• Share accountability for nursing practice standards within the unit
• Work with the Director on department staffing, hiring, evaluation, guidance, discipline, and scheduling
• Act in a composed and professional manner under pressure
• Develop and communicate a shared vision for the department
