Job summary

Advocate Health is offering a November 2026 RN Post Graduate Training Program at the OR Academy within Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. This 40-hour-per-week program provides classroom instruction and immersive OR rotations to help new graduates become skilled perioperative nurses.

Participants will complete general nursing orientation, then five weeks of immersive classes, followed by clinical rotations in the OR with dedicated preceptors.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of operating room experience
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Registered Nurse licensure in North Carolina (NC Board of Nursing)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required

Responsibilities

• Diligently readies for classroom and clinical commitments before arranging meetings
• Consistently fulfills examination requirements on designated days
• Keeps meticulous clinical case records
• Upholds a constructive and enthusiastic demeanor during clinical rotations
• Delivers age-appropriate care following Age/Developmental guidelines for patient age groups during rotations
