Job summary

Advocate Health is offering a RN Post Graduate Training Program in the Operating Room through the Wake Forest Baptist OR Training Academy in North Carolina. The program combines classroom learning with hands-on clinical rotations, designed to develop circulator and scrub competencies under experienced preceptors.

The staged curriculum includes orientation, immersive classes, then rotations in surgical care, with mentorship and ongoing assessment to prepare for independent practice in the OR.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Less than 1 year of experience in the Operating Room.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Diligently readies for classroom and clinical commitments before arranging meetings.
• Consistently fulfills examination requirements on designated days.
• Keeps meticulous clinical case records.
• Upholds a constructive and enthusiastic demeanor during clinical rotations.
• Delivers age-appropriate care in strict accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Guidelines for the respective patient age groups when participating in patient care.
