Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state.
• CPR training or proof of current CPR per AHA/Red Cross on hire; maintain CPR to stay scheduled.
• ACLS training within 3 months of hire for nurses who read ECG tracings.
• PALS training within 6 months of hire as required by role.
• Preferred minimum of 1 year of prior related work experience.
• General health and physical ability to meet job demands.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, and participate in patient care per plan of care and policies.
• Adhere to Hospital policies, regulatory guidelines, and infection control practices.
• Maintain a safe patient and personnel environment.
• Document accurately and concisely in medical records.
• Operate and maintain equipment and supplies safely.
• Seek educational opportunities to improve clinical competence.
• Complete mandatory classes and continuing education for licensure.
• Participate in orientation of new employees.
• Communicate courteously with patients, physicians, colleagues and the public.
• Report problems promptly to management.
• Perform duties as assigned.
