Job summary

University of Iowa Health Care seeks an experienced nurse leader to join the North Liberty Campus as Assistant Nurse Manager for the Main Operating Room. The role provides managerial and clinical leadership to ensure safe care, staff education, and achievement of performance objectives.

The incumbent will assist in hiring, develop talent, manage budgets, and promote quality patient care while coordinating with nursing leaders and physicians. Flexible scheduling may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Current Iowa nursing license by date of hire.
• 1+ years nursing experience with leadership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial and clinical leadership in the Main Operating Room.
• Recruit, hire, and evaluate nursing staff.
• Develop staffing plans and budget for the unit.
• Collaborate with nurse leaders on quality and patient safety.
• Ensure compliance with policies, union contracts, and regulatory standards.
