Job summary

Regent Surgical Health in Kokomo, IN is seeking an OR Registered Nurse to deliver safe intraoperative patient care in the operating rooms and perioperative suites. You will monitor patients, assist surgeons, and help maintain sterile technique throughout procedures.

In this role, you will transport patients, prepare the OR, verify medications and equipment, ensure accurate documentation, and collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to promote smooth, high-quality surgical care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN license in appropriate State.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications as required by individual ASC policy.
• Preferred ASC experience and CNOR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide intraoperative patient care in procedure rooms and operating rooms.
• Transport patients to and from operating/procedure room.
• Prepare patients for surgery by disinfecting skin at the operation site and positioning them.
• Ensure proper supplies, equipment, and medications are ready for use.
• Verify name, strength and dosage of medication.
• Verify patient, procedure, operative site, positioning and equipment match.
• Conduct site timeout per policy.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist surgeon during procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure the OR runs smoothly.
• Develop care plans for surgical patients and document nursing care accurately.
• Communicate with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
