Job summary

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, part of Dignity Health, seeks a Surgery Nurse to prepare patients for procedures and deliver high‑quality nursing care in the operating room. You will advocate for patients, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and participate in ongoing quality initiatives in a fast‑paced perioperative setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ADN in nursing (foreign equivalent acceptable).
• Registered Nurse licensed in AZ.
• BLS certification; ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of medical/surgical, ICU, or telemetry experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR.
• Care for patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans for surgical patients.
• Ensure operating rooms are prepped with necessary equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate compassion for patients.
