Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Operating Room Nurse to deliver safe, high‑quality care before, during, and after procedures. You’ll assess patients, develop care plans, administer meds, and monitor outcomes with a multidisciplinary team in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.

The role requires RN licensure in the state, ADN or higher, and CPR/BLS within 90 days. BSN preferred; involvement in performance improvement and ongoing education is encouraged.

Qualifications

• ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred.
• Licensed RN in state of practice.
• CPR/BLS certification required within 90 days; ACLS/PALS may be required per unit.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per policy and standards.
• Performs assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluation of care.
• Develops and executes patient care plans with physicians and team.
• Documents care per standards and participates in performance improvement.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to support the patient’s plan of care.
