Position Highlights

• Sign-on Bonus: This job qualifies for a $20,000 sign-on bonus, provided the candidate meets eligibility requirements.
• Service Line: Baptist Emergency Surgery Trauma Team (BEST)
• Shift Schedule: Full time, 3-12 hour shifts per week, Nights, Weekends, Holidays
• Location: Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Winston-Salem, NC

Job Summary

Provides patient-centered nursing care, following the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Assumes a leadership role by guiding fellow team members and collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver age-specific and developmentally tailored care in line with nursing standards.

• Deliver patient- and family-centered care using the nursing process, addressing diverse physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs in alignment with WFBH policies
• Establish and maintain a secure, therapeutic environment, safeguarding patient privacy and promoting safety through use of technology and equipment
• Demonstrate effective communication to facilitate information exchange across the care continuum
• Engage in professional practice, participate in shared governance, adhere to care standards, contribute to peer review, and pursue leadership and clinical development
• Advocate for patients across all care settings
• Coordinate delivery of care, identify clinical priorities, and initiate actions to improve patient outcomes
