Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Operating Room, a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma care center with 40 OR suites. The RN will engage in governance, assess and plan nursing care, maintain safety, document accurately in EHR, and may float to other units as needed.

Requires BSN or higher, BLS, and an active RN license in the state. Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Active RN license in the state(s) where practice is required.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and ensures accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocols.
• Demonstrates professional communication and teamwork; participates in education.
