Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for Trauma Surgery on a full-time, 36-hour work week. The unit includes a high-acuity 25-bed Med Surg/Trauma Surgery setting with 12-hour day shifts (0630-1900). A sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Candidates must graduate from a Board of Nursing–approved program, hold an active RN license, BLS, and typically have 1 year of clinical nursing experience. BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing–approved nursing program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license (multi-state compact and/or state-specific based on practice location).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Additional certifications or experience may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient-centered care using the nursing process, ensuring safe, effective, and compassionate treatment aligned with clinical standards.
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical judgment to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and overall experience across the care continuum.

Where You’ll Work

This high-acuity 25-bed adult Med Surg and Trauma Surgery unit provides high-quality, evidence-based nursing care for patients who have experienced traumatic injuries. The team also cares for patients requiring emergency general (abdominal) surgery.

We’re Looking For
