Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking an Operating Room Circulator RN for Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX. The role involves preparing the OR, assisting with patient readiness, and ensuring sterility and patient safety throughout procedures.

Qualifications include an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and perioperative experience; CNOR and BSN are preferred. Works days, full-time with 8-hour shifts (6:30am–3:00pm).

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain.
• Current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
• CNOR certification (AORN) preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room, ensure cleanliness, and confirm equipment functioning.
• Assist in preparing the patient for surgery, verify identity/site, position patient, and complete pre-operative procedures.
• Document vital signs, medications administered, and other relevant details for the medical record.
• Maintain a safe, sterile operating room by following infection control protocols and proper instrument handling.

We are seeking an Operating Room CirculatorRN also known as an, Operating Room Nurse, OR RN or Perioperative Nurse. Circulator RN's provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery.OR Circulator Nursesworkwithin the operating room setting, collaborating with surgeons and other surgical team members to ensure patient safety and well-being.OR RNs prepare patients for surgery, which includes reviewing medical history, conducting assessments, educating patients and families about the procedure, and administering pre-operative medications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room,ensure the cleanliness of the environment, and confirm that all required equipment is functioning properly
• Assistin preparing the patient for surgery, which may involve verifying the patient's identity and surgical site, helping to position the patient on the operating table, and ensuring that all necessary pre-operative procedures are completed

• Document pertinent information before, during, and after the surgical procedure, such as the patient's vital signs, medications administered, and any other relevant details for the patient's medical record

• Maintain a safe and sterile environment in the operating room by adhering to strict infection control protocols and ensure that all team members follow proper procedures for handling instruments and equipment
