Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington is hiring a Full Time Registered Nurse for our Operating Room. This role focuses on specialized orthopedic and spine care with a comprehensive benefits package and a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Join a dedicated team in Arlington, TX, delivering high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. The RN will support adult, geriatric, and some pediatric patients in a fast-paced OR setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Texas nursing license; CPR and ACLS current; PALS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years OR experience; ortho and spine experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures.
• Serve as a resource for non-licensed personnel.
• Care for adult patients including geriatric and some pediatric patients.
• Follow criteria-based performance evaluation for age-specific competency.

Operating Room Nurse at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington

• Under the direct supervision of the Operating Room Coordinator and the OR Director, the RN is responsible for nursing activities related to the care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure.
• The RN is a resource person and provides guidance to non-licensed personnel.
• The RN can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric and some pediatric patients.
• The attached criteria-based performance evaluation provides a specific set of standards as they relate to age specific competency.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Licensure/Certification

• Current Texas Nursing License.
• Current CPR, ACLS
• PALS preferred

Required Experience

• Minimum of two (2) previous OR experience required, hospital setting preferred.
• Must have ortho and spine experience.
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees
• Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse
• Clinically proficient in operating room nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient
