Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club in Trophy Club, TX, is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse for our Operating Room. The RN will support patient care during operative and invasive procedures, working with diverse ages and specialties.

This temporary seasonal position runs through the end of 2026; RN licensure in Texas, BLS/ACLS (PALS preferred) and minimum OR experience required. The role requires independent prioritization and teamwork within the OR.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current Texas RN license; BLS/ACLS required; PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Nursing activities related to care of the patient during operative or other invasive procedures.
• Care for adult patients including geriatric and pediatric patients (1 month through adolescence) in the OR.
• Work within gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management, ophthalmology and general surgery settings.

Registered Nurse Operating Room Circulator at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club:

The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence. Our scope of service includes gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management, ophthalmology, and general surgery.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.

Licensure/Certification:

• Current Texas RN License
• BLS and ACLS required and PALS

Required Experience:

• Minimum two years previous OR experience
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees
• Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse
