Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Lead Inventory Technician to support the Operating Room with day-to-day procurement and replenishment of surgical supplies. The role ensures the right quantity, at the right place, and at the right time, delivering high-quality service to surgeons, staff, and vendors.

You will lead CPD inventory, coordinate with the OR materials manager, and supervise two materials aides in restocking and delivering supplies to the CPD, Main OR, and related areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in supply chain or related field.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• OR/surgical supply experience preferred.
• High school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Manage OR CPD inventory, procure and replace daily.
• Coordinate with OR materials manager to ensure stock levels.
• Supervise two materials aids in restocking and delivery.
• Update par levels and product listings on handheld devices.
• Prepare requisitions for non-stock items and special carts.
• Communicate supply issues and recalls to OR leadership.
• Oversee CPD inventory and rotating stock; assist with inventories.
• Respond to user requests and participate in daily huddle.
• Engage with corporate supply chain for VAT requests as needed.
